Performance

The Artist Matters.

Anyone can put a piano in front of a camera. What you are listening to is the difference between a performance and a recital — and that difference is the artist.

Learn Directly From the Artist

Meet Jeremy Ajani Jordan

Jeremy Ajani Jordan began performing on the national stage at just nine years old, appearing in a live televised performance of Beethoven’s Piano Concerto No. 1.

He later studied at The Juilliard School, earning undergraduate and graduate degrees on the Van Cliburn and Irene Diamond scholarships, and went on to make his solo Carnegie Hall debut.

A Steinway Artist, Jordan has performed internationally at venues including Amsterdam’s Concertgebouw, Tokyo Opera City, Prague’s Rudolfinum, the United Nations Arts Council, and Chicago’s Ravinia Festival, with appearances and recordings alongside the Chicago Sinfonietta and Czech National Symphony Orchestra.

Beyond performance, Jeremy is also a composer whose work has appeared on National Public Radio and received world premieres in the United States and Europe.

Chicago-born Jeremy Ajani Jordan first performed a concerto in a live televised broadcast at the age of nine — Beethoven’s Piano Concerto No. 1. Following studies at The Juilliard School, where he received undergraduate and graduate degrees on the Van Cliburn and Irene Diamond scholarships, he made his solo Carnegie Hall debut and won the 2006 Steinway Concerto Competition.

Jordan has performed and recorded with the Chicago Sinfonietta and the Czech National Symphony Orchestra, appeared on the radio program From The Top — including From The Top: Live from Carnegie Hall — and played Amsterdam’s Concertgebouw, Tokyo Opera City, Prague’s Rudolfinum and Chicago’s Ravinia Festival, as well as appearances for the United Nations Arts Council. He has also performed live on WFMT Radio.

A Steinway Artist and former college professor, Jeremy is also a composer whose work has been featured on National Public Radio and has received world premieres in the United States and Europe.

With Elite Pianist, Jeremy doesn’t simply perform the music — he takes you inside it, revealing the interpretation, technique, history and artistic decisions behind the performance.
